The brief

A coast-wide programme, told in every format.

The Kenya Marine Fisheries and Socio-Economic Development project (KEMFSED) in Kwale reached 27,876 direct beneficiaries across 20 wards through 212 sub-projects, KES 654M of investment and 180 scholarships.

Skylit documented it across Kwale: community trainings from seaweed value addition in Kibuyuni to feed formulation in Matuga, beneficiary stories, stakeholder sessions and the fishing competition. Then we designed and produced The Turning Tide, a 55-page legacy publication with a 28×28 cm print edition.
